In a world parallel to our world, there exists a world of magic, far beyond imagination. Our worlds were once joined together, but as the Earth progressed into the modern age, a split divided, separating the worlds forever. The world was once full of magic, but science and technology slowly replaced the natural wonders of the world. In a more accepting age, races far beyond imagine roamed the Earth, but as time passed, human mortals declared themselves dominant, and wiped out any creature that was a threat to their superiority. It was at this time that the worlds split for good. Though magic still resides in the human world, it is only seen in faint glimmers, a mere reflection of what truly lies beyond…
Wishing to separate themselves from the mortals that bred like cockroaches, the creatures of the Earth created their own parallel world. The human mortals were afraid of anything that was strange them, and they were arrogant, killing others to quell their terror. Only a select few human mortals were allowed to cross to the new world, the few tolerant mortals. This new world was dubbed Zahmica, meaning peaceful land, and the magic of the world was able to live on. Over time, many of the mortals mixed and interbreed with the other races of Zahmica, and many new races were developed as well.
Zahmica was divided into three territories, in order to best govern the new world. To the northeast lay Nyramus, Suria in the south, and to the west; Xydrian. Each territory included a stretch of land and the seas surrounding it. In the center of Zahmica lay the vast ocean, mutual territory. But overtime, the government proved corrupt, and a hundred-fifty years after its separation from Earth, Zahmica turned into a pirate haven. More mortals found their way into the land, many of them sailors, still believing in myths and legends. A pirate captain now rules each territory, and the inhabitants of Zahmica either worked on their ships, or on land.
But thoughts of rebellion are spreading among the inhabitants of Zahmica, and only time will tell who will remain loyal, and who will fight to the end.
